Avril and Evan

"We had the best year of our lives but you and I would never be the same."

Such a beautiful song from Evan Taubenfeld! Ano pa kaya kung nag-duet sila ng bestfriend niyang si Avril Lavigne? haha I'm sure my sister would be ecstatic AGAIN for this news!!! She's literally addicted to Av and Ev!
Haha You just don't know how happy my sister would be if she finds out about this! (Though I really doubt if she doesn't know about this yet. XD)
The real meaning of happiness differ from every other person and for my ate, listening to Avril's music is enough for her to reach a state of bliss...

Happy

Everytime I hear this song I can't stop smiling. Yeah, it is really nice to be happy!

Cloud 9

                                         "Bite into the Bright Side."

"Happiness in a bar of chocolate.", that's what the Universal Robina Corporation promised us when they created this chocolate coated nut bar called "CLOUD 9". This brand of chocolate is made and distributed in the Philippines. It is locally known for it's cheap price yet delicious taste.

As a Filipina, I have been eating this snack bar for as long as I can remember. Chocolates bring happiness to everyone. But what's amazing with this chocolate bar is not only its name but also with it's famous tag line. Knowing that the name means "state of extreme happiness", the Corporation used the tag line as if telling consumers that it will bring them happiness more than what they can imagine.
Try to think of it, if being in a state of bliss may be easy as unwrapping a bar of chocolate, then gaining happiness would be easy for everyone.

But the thing is, this bar of chocolate may bring us happiness but only in a short period of time. After eating the bar then ~poof~ you'll be back to reality that everything may not seem easy as it appears to be.

Moving On

"Some try to forget. Some tend to dwell. Me? I will do neither."

For me this is the best line spoken by the main character of the short film, "The Places We Should Have Gone" by the Wong Fu Productions. Breaking up and moving on are the hardest part of being in a failing relationship. But with how Becky handled hers, she ends up being happy.

The story is a short narration of how Becky end up breaking up with her boyfriend Daniel after the latter failed to show efforts to keep their relationship intact before the girl left for an internship. After sometime, Becky came back but was not completely over Daniel. To her surprise, Daniel realized his mistake and tried to reconcile with her. The ending was open but the ending line gives us the idea of how the story ended.

Like what was said on the video's commentary, the ending line was about the two common options people chose when ending a relationship. But somehow, Becky realized that those two options will not do her any good. When someone tries to forget their past, they tend to do the same mistakes they've done over and over again. While when someone tries to dwell and hold on, they fail to move on and they live in great depression.

When Becky said, she would do neither, as what Philip Wang said on the commentary, she means that 'she can move on while still remembering why'.

For me, Becky came up with an amazing solution to her problem. And in the end, though she was not able to keep her relationship with Daniel, the story end up with a smile on her face knowing that what she did is for the best.

Your Own Happiness

"Don’t place your happiness in someone elses hands,
because once they’re gone, so is your happiness."

I stumbled on this quotation earlier from the web and thought it would fit this magnificent picture.
I totally agree with what this quotation is actually trying to say. If you want to experience happiness in your life, you should not depend on anyone else but yourself. You should be the one to find out what makes you happy. And when the right time comes when you find out what it is, you should be the one responsible to keep and take care of it.
